Love is in the air Stamp of Approval is live

Hi everyone!
The Love is in the Air stamp of approval is live for the general public. Since last night when it went on sale for the Stamp Nation members who attended t he PJ party, then for those on the wait list, only 30% of the boxes remain in stock. So hurry up! Head over Catherine Pooler's store to get yours!

In meantime here are few more cards I made using the collection!

For my first card I used the Postage Dies, along with The World Awaits and Bon Boyage sets from collection. I did some second generation stamping to create the background. I used silver shimmer card stock as my card base.

For my 2nd card I used The World awaits again, but did some watercoloring. I stamped on hot press watercolor paper and embossed in white, next used Aquatini and Green tea ink pads to color the image. I stamped the sentiment on black card stock circle and embossed in white. Assembled my card onto Black note card and added some sequins.

January My Monthly Hero Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Hi Stampers!
Happy Monday! And welcome to another My Monthly Hero release.  Hope you are following the blog hop, and if you are already tired, don't worry you are almost to the end. There are only 2 more stops after me, but trust me you don't want to miss them. The best comes last.

This month's kit is called Layered Love. And if you are like me, you will fall in love with the font of the stamps of this kit. It's perfect for Valentine's day, anniversary, friendship etc. For me is like knocking two birds with one stone, as our anniversary is in February (10 days after Valentine's day). Let's take a look at the main kit

Kit Contents:
4" x 6" Layered on Love Clear Stamp Set
Four Coordinating dies
4 ink cubes (Passion Flower, Navy, Red Royal and Mulled Wine)
2 5"x7" Shizen decorative paper
1 5.5"x8.5" Stardream Coral Cardstock
1 5.5"x8.5" Stardream Rose Quartz Cardstock
1 5.5"x8.5" Stardream Kunzite Cardstock
Heart Sequins Mix 1.5 oz
Pink Prisma Embossing Powder 0.5 oz

The value of the kit is nearly $62, but it is sold at $34.99.

There are also some amazing  add-on products this month - 3 clear stamp sets with coordinating Frame Cuts, 4 woodblock stamps, one Paper Layering die, one Fancy Die. You will also find a DIY calendar kit and Original and Mini MISTI stamping tools in the Hero Arts store today! And this time I can't pick a favorite because I love them all!!!!

Now, you have probably arrived here from Libby's blog, and if you haven't trust me you don't want to miss her amazing projects. So go back to her blog or start from the beginning(the Hero Arts blog) and if you arrived here from her blog, then you are on the right track and your next stop will be Clare's blog(and you don't want to miss her project, either).

I am starting with two projects I had shared over the Hero Arts blog using the main kit. So head over there for complete details for the following two cards. But don't you love that intricate heart die from the kit?

For my first card I used the main kit. I stamped the "&" with Strawberry bold ink, then the 2nd step with Versamark and embossed with Gold. As well as  the you and me sentiments. I created shaker card using the sequins and the pretty papers from the kit.

For my second card I used the Bouquet wood mount stamp along with a sentiment from the Color Layering rose. I stamped with Intense Black ink and colored with my copics. Then stamped the sentiment on black layering paper and embossed with white embossing powder. Assembled my card and added some Nuvo Drops for finishing touch.

For my next card I used the Love birds stamp and cut set. I stamped the birds on Arches watercolor paper and colored with Zig clean color real brush pens, then die cut them. I created my background using some Daniel Smith watercolors, stamped and embossed the sentiment and assembled my card.

For the next two card I used the Love Bandit set. I created two different shaker cards one using white tulle and the second one classic shaker card using acetate. Isn't that raccoon the cutest?

And for my final card I used the Color Layering Rose set along with the Happily Ever After wood mount stamps. I used Cotton Candy, Rose Madder and Gold embossing powder for the roses and Fresh Lawn and Gold embossing powder for the leaves.

Love is in the Air Stamp of Approval Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 1 of the Love is in the Air Stamp of Approval Blog Hop! You should have come from Ingrid's blog (full blog list below).
If you’re new to Stamp of Approval – click here to check out everything you need to know about this amazing collection of Stamps, Dies and other goodies.
And make sure you are on the wait list so you get access to the collection at 9am ( if not sold out) on Tuesday 1/9 before goes live for the general public at 6pm (if not sold out). These collections almost always sell out, so if you're liking what you're seeing on the blog hop, you'll want to make sure that you have an opportunity to get your hands on this collection! (and trust me, you do!!!!)
I love creating for Valentine, and since it's February it's our anniversary month (we'll be celebrating out lucky 13th this year). With each SOA being released I keep saying it's my favorite one, I guess they are all my favorites and they keep getting better and better. Pair it up with the amazing Catherine Pooler designs inks and you have cards for the win.
Now lets move onto the cards. For my first card I used the Happiness Enclosed, Love is the Air and Bon Voyage sets. I drew a heart with a pencil onto my panel. Then filled the heart with heart stamped images from Happiness Enclosed and Love is in the Air sets. I started from the largest and moved to the smallest hearts. After that I filled the smallest empty areas with dots (used coordinating marker colors for those). When I was satisfied with my image and made sure my image was dry I erased the pencil line. Stamped sentiment on Midnight card stock and embossed with white embossing powder. Assembled my card and adhered onto Midnight card base.

For the Second Card I used The World Awaits and Love is in the air stamps and dies. I die cut the clouds from vellum. Stamped the hot air balloons and die cut them. On white panel I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink. I adhered the clouds and hot air balloons and added Nuvo drops in coordinating colors. After it was dry I adhered the panel onto white top folding card.

Impression Obsession : Shiny New Year

Hi stampers!
Welcome to another Impression Obsession challenge.  This time around the challenge is Shiny New Year. For my shiny part I used some gold embossing powder, gold thread and gold glitter thin washi tape.
For my card I used the Color Layering Macaron set designed by Dina Kowal .I stamped it in the following colors:
Banana, Canary and Goldenrod;
Bubblegum, Peony and Ruby;
Seafoam, Aqua and Teal
After I stamped them using my MISTI (I used 3 colors for 5 layers - I stamped the 2nd layer twice with the lightest colors, and the 5th layer with the darkest color twice) I cut them out.
I stamped the sentiment in versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing powder, then I adhered the macarons, added the gold thread and adhered to pink card base. I added washi tape and sequins to finish off the card.
