Blog Candy

It's that time again. Time for a blog candy. This time is the set Patterned pines! One of my favorite Holiday sets. My husband started his new job today, and as well yesterday was his birthday so it's time to celebrate and you get the gift.
Leave me a comment with your best birthday memory and I will draw a winner on Friday Morning :)
Have fun!
I will try to be back with a eye candy :), but still I need to finish decorating and setting up our living room :) About time to finish unpacking, it's been 3 months!!! and then some

My favorite birthday memory was a surprise party that my mom gave for me on my 16th birthday--she asked me to set the table in the dining room and as I walked out to do so all my friends were there ready to enjoy a lasagna dinner---I was totally surprised! =-) Dawn Hoffman

My birthday is Jan 1. If you ask my mom she would say it was the day I was born. I got all kinds of free stuff including my picture in the paper. But I think for me, it would have to have been my 36th birthday. My daughter Crystal made my cake for me, it was her first 2 layer cake. Shh, don't tell her but it was a little lopsided.

My birthday is in June and often was the same day as the last day of school. In 4th grade, my mom picked us up in a pickup, and a big group of us rode out to the lake for a great afternoon. There is a picture of 10 little girls on a slide that I'm still very font of :)

I played with this set at a workshop, and it's super fun!

Happy Birthday Hubbie!! Oh lets see my best birthday memory would have to be when I turned 18, I was surprised with a new car. It was honestly the coolest day, for about 30 minutes and then I got the payment book.

Happy Birthday.
My best birthday, of course, in childhood.
My mother baked pies with different berries. Some hid some souvenir.
Unfortunately, there is no mom and dad.
But the good memory remains

Happy bday to your husband :-) One of my favorite bdays would have to be this last bday in which I turned 22! I celebrated in Hawaii with friends and family and it was absolutely the best time.

Happy Birthday to your Husband and congrats on the new job. My favorite birthday memory was my 50th surprise birthday. My 4 daughters surprised me with my parents coming up to Michigan from Florida. I am so grateful that they could get up here. That year my Mom became very sick and passed away. It is a very precious last memory of a very happy time with my Mom. Debbie G

My best birthday memory was on my 8th birthday. Our family went out to eat, and we had cake afterwards. We were driving home, and we seemed to be going in the wrong direction. I made a comment, that this doesn't look like the way home. My parents told me that we were taking a scenic way home. We were in the big city, downtown Milwaukee. When my dad started to park the car, and I saw the marqee..."Holiday on Ice". I was sooo excited, and from then on we went to the Holiday on Ice every year thereafter on my birthday.

A great birthday memory of mine was a few years ago when my husband surprised me with a new, wireless laptop computer. Oh my goodness, I LOVED it; and still do! Thanks for the chance to win a great set.

My best birthday memory was having a sleepover with all my friends and watching a scary movie. Then, in the middle, my brothers snuck in and popped a balloon during a tense part. Everyone screamed - it was hilarious.

Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!

One of my best memories was when my daughter her husband and my two little grandsons drove 10 hours to surprise me. My husband took me out to dinner and I was setting there and saw balloons come in the door and then I saw my little grandsons 2 and 3 holding balloons and flowers. It was awesome!

Best wishes to your hubby on all the adventures of life.
My hubby surprised me for my 50th by inviting friends and family to a restaurant to celebrate. I was totally flabbergasted by it.

my best birthday memory is when I was turning 10 my parents owned a video store/ cafe/ arcade all in one and they let me have a sleepover in there ( it used to be an appartment in the back so it had carpeting and all that good stuff) my mom unlocked all the arcade games and opened the cafe so it was an all night game night. It was so fun!

My best birthday memory was last year -- the celebration went on all week! My husband surprised us all by taking the time off and taking us skiing (Feb. vacation as well -- 2 weeks before he was laid off so we hadn't worried about money issues yet!). The kids made a cake together (10 yr. old boy, 13 yr. old girl -- probably won't ever happen again!!!), and we stopped by my parents on our way home for more birthday celebration!! Happy Birthday to your husband and congratulations on his new job -- I know personally how tense these times can be!! Thanks for the chance to win!!

I still remember as a little girl getting to have a birthday party with my friends. That was a LONG time ago & things then weren't as elaborate as they are now. It is a great memory I have that my mom went to that much work.

I have to say that my favorite birthday memory actually occured a year ago on my 40th birthday. I graduated with my Associates degree on June 1st and turned 40 (shhhh) on July 1st. My husband threw a combination party for me! It was the first time he ever did anything of the sort and it meant the world to me. My five children all pitched in and helped him. Their love and pride will forever be etched in my heart!

My favorite memory is more of a tradition we had. I have a twin brother who is 7 minutes older than me so my parents would light the cake and he would blow out the candles first. Then 7 minutes later I would. Of course as a kid that was the longest 7 minutes of my life but I still remember it today.

Wow... Great blog candy! I would say my best B-day memory was when I was 5 yrs old and recieved a Barbie watch...It had interchangeable bands with it,(white, blue, and pink) and even though I couldn't tell time yet, it made me feel so grown up!

Heck if I know where this tradition was born, but my parents would surprise us first thing in the morning on our birthdays by rubbing butter on our noses! To slide through the new year easily?!? Not sure!

My best birthday memory thus far has to be my 21st birthday. My husband, then boyfriend could not celebrate with me as he was doing a training exercise with the Air Force. So I was shocked when on my birthday I was delivered the biggest arrangement of beautiful peach colored lilies. Four days later we were able to have a belated celebration when he had completed his exercise. I had no idea he was going to propose. Here we are 13 yrs later, married with 2 kids!!! The belated celebrating was worth the wait!

My favorite birthday memory is from when I first met my husband - he sent me an outfit from JCrew and new tennis shoes in the mail. That was the sweetest thing any guy had ever done!

My best birthday memory was when my hubby set up a scavenger hunt for me to find my present. It was so much fun and he made it tough. He bought me a Bernina sewing machine which was a total surprise!!!
