Stamping on onsies

Oh my gosh, I totally love this technique and how it turned out.
Oh yeah, you may wonder why I am not at work, I had "little" accident last night, I stepped on a tooth pick/ nail or something in between which had tombow mono multi glue on it. It went in my foot for about 1/4", my husband wanted to take me to the ER for a tetanus shot, he called the 800 # on the bottle of the glue , and they were more concerned about the tooth-pick/ nail, they glue would only cause irritation if I was allergic to latex....anyways, I am at home today instead at the substation for field work.
I just made this onsie, I stamped the elephant from Just Celebrate set from the occassions mini (which expires in just couple days) on iron-on transfer sheet and colored it with prismacolor artist premier markers and cut it closely and then applied it to the onsie. It's so adorable! I think pretty soon I will offer a class for stamping on onsies or t-shirts

As well my application for participant of the Lansdowne Art Festival got approved, so I am in. www.lansdowneartfestival.com . Sunflower Thank You card

Here are couple 3x3 cards I made yesterday while my friend Tara (a fellow demo) and I were vendors at art festival in Clark Park, in West Philly. I used scallop circle punch for the flowers, and 3/4" for the centers, I dry embossed the centers using the mat pack piercing guide and the thank you sentiment is from the "All Holidays" stamp set.The leaves are scorred and cut out with scisors, no template for them, just free hand cutting

Pick a friend :)

The temperatures finally dropped, but it was all topped with a strong storm last night which left about 250,000 customers in Philadelphia area without electricity, so today at work there was a LOT of work to do ( I work for Philadelphia electric company aka PECO). Anyway for me last night was creating night I was able to finish some gifts thanks to my friend Kristin
who lended me her new dephining alphabet set, until mine arrives so I was able to make this 6x6 scrapbook page. I like making small scrapbook pages, big ones are a bigger challenge for me. I used pick a petal set, and defining alphabet. The color combo is rose red, soft sky, whisper white and old olive. I used jumbo eyelets in pewter, silver brads, chipboard and poly twill ribbon in old olive.
And today when I got back from work, I had a surprise on front of my door, it was an Stampin' Up! box, my goodies from one of my uplines, who organized a contest and I won.

Summer sun

It's been a busy weekend and HOT. We didn't have the AC on till this afternoon, as the windows at our new place were too big for it, so we had to get some stuff to fill the hole from Home Depot today, now our hobby room is nice and cool ,comparing the rest of the apartment.
Here are two cards I made this weekend, the first one is swap for tomorrow PhillyInkers meeting, it's first time I used Best Kind of Friend set, and I have had it since February. I used summer sun, old olive and basic black, and very vanilla. AS well it's first time I used summer sun cardstock, I kinda avoid that color, but I think it's perfect for summer :) The card on the bottom uses the same color combo, but instead of very vanilla I stamped on shimmery white and colored with SU watercolor pencils. I made couple more things, but can't show them until the people they are for receive them, as they are checking my blog.:P
Oh yeah, as well I made my own photo box, where I took the pictures below, I think it's works pretty good for a handmade thing LoL

Escape from the "e" with eScape

I just received my eScape bundle today and right away I decided to make a love note for my husband, I remembed when we were just married and before when we were dating I was making a lot of stuff for him, cards, boxes etc, but since I became demo I have hardly given him a card ( I am not so proud of this) and I make cards pretty much every day . I remember year ago when I went to visit my family and friends in Macedonia, I made card for him for every single day (14 days total) and on each envelope I put a date, so he has something to read every day....Oh my gosh, how lazy I have become or un-toughtful.
Anyway, I made this quick cardm actually I kinda cased it from the SU site, as I feel soooooooooo tired, I went little shopping after work, and no I didnt go to art or craft store, LoL, I went to GAP and they had nothing, and then I went to LOFT where actually they have my size (lol) and got me some jean trousers(sp?) and then the train was so stinkin' late, and when I got home I noticed that my rain lilies I planted few weeks ago started to poke out, how exciting. Then I planted some lemon basil, radishes and forget-me-not-s, I still have some sunflowers to plant and some regular basil, oregano, chives and dasies, and some other flowers. Now of to making dinner.

I did make a card

So I did make a card last night, I cased it from here http://justgivemestamps.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/05/beates-weekend-sketch-challenge-50.html and changed couple things around. I will post later the supplies used.

Somebody stop me

from folding paper. LOL
Ok, I still haven't stamped anything, I was cleaning today and reorganizing my crafting space, and throwing out bunch of scraps which are too small to be useful for anything, I wonder why in the world I have been collecting them.
In the afternoon I made this origami bouquet, instead of stamping. LoL....I forgot how much fun was making origami while taking the origami classes back in the 90's , I think I was 1995, oh my gosh I feel old....
Anyway, I need to stamp a card today, I hope to post it later, and I REALLY need to start working on the gifts for my family, if I want to send them with my cousin who is leaving to go to Europe on the end of June, so the clock is ticking tik tok, tik tok....
I better find a better vase for my origami flowers, rather than this ugly jar ( I got a box of them to make marmalade (sometime..LoL) and not to be used for flowers and storing embelishments)
